Lauren’s Institute for Education (L.I.F.E.) is a special place for developmentally disabled children. They offer a variety of therapies that nurture each individual child’s overall growth to improve their quality of life and the lives of their family members.
EVDS delivered bottled water and necessities to the Lodestar Day Resource Center (LDRC) http://lodestardrc.org in Phoenix on June 22. Thanks to generosity of EVDS employees were delivered a large box of supplies along with lots of much needed bottled water. Stuart MacLay, Vessa Olshove and Joe Holmes had the opportunity take a tour of the campus and not only were impressed by the work being done there, but came away committed to continue to provide assistance to LDRC. Sunblock, hats and bottled water are especially needed during the intense heat of the Phoenix summer.
Every day, the Lodestar Day Resource Center (LDRC) works to help hundreds of individuals end their homelessness. However, we are not only focused solely on our individual clients. We see homelessness as a societal challenge; as long as one individual in Maricopa County is sleeping on the street, there is more work that we all must do, together. We are also passionate about engaging individuals with homes to get involved, and to learn more about the amazing transformations that happen every day at the LDRC. We do not simply want our clients to find homes, but we want to help them look at their lives in a holistic way – to “create positive, long-term life changes.”
